As an Auditor at BWT Logistics, you will play a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring integrity by examining and evaluating our processes, inventory controls, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Process Audits:
- Conduct audits of warehouse and transportation processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all operational activities, from receiving to shipping.
- Review freight billing and carrier invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
Inventory Audits:
- Lead and oversee inventory audit procedures, including cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Compliance & Safety Audits:
- Assess compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DOT).
- Review shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct safety audits to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Analysis & Reporting:
- Document audit findings in clear, concise, and objective reports for management.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks, reduce costs, and improve performance.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure effective resolution.
Team Collaboration:
- Partner with warehouse team members to support order fulfillment, meet deadlines, and maintain operational flow.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and additional tasks as assigned by management.
PPE Requirements:
- Steel-toe boots required.
- Safety vest and additional PPE provided by BWT Logistics.
